bajaj teases new pulsar motorcycle n400 or updated ns200

Bajaj Releases Teaser for Upcoming Pulsar Motorcycle – N400 or Updated NS200?

Bajaj Auto’s official Pulsar social media account has recently posted a teaser video showcasing a new motorcycle, prompting speculation about whether it’s the rumored N400 or an updated version of the NS200. While the N400, touted as the largest Pulsar ever, isn’t expected until later this year, the teaser suggests that this unveiling may not be for the flagship model.

Examining the teaser closely, we notice familiar features from the current NS200 model, including the radiator area, horn positioning, dual-channel ABS system, and distinctive white graphics on the engine casing and fuel tank. Even elements like the Y-spoked alloy wheels and the shape of the headlamp appear unchanged, consistent with the existing NS range.

Further observations reveal the presence of halogen turn indicators and the continuation of the rear monoshock suspension with red springs, featuring preload adjustability. The NS200 currently offers a choice of color schemes, including Glossy Ebony Black, Metallic Pearl White, Cocktail Wine Red/White, and Pewter Grey/Blue.

Interestingly, the teaser showcases two variants, Glossy Ebony Black and Cocktail Wine Red/White, without any noticeable graphical updates. It’s worth noting that Bajaj introduced significant enhancements to the NS200 around a year ago, including upside-down front forks, dual-channel ABS, refreshed decals and graphics, new alloy wheels inspired by the N250, and an updated instrument console with additional features.

This time, it seems the updates will primarily focus on the instrument cluster, with a new LCD console likely to debut, similar to recent additions seen in the Pulsar N150 and N160 models. Additionally, there’s speculation about the introduction of a secondary display on the tank.

Aside from the NS200, there are indications that the NS160 may also receive similar upgrades, as evidenced by sightings of a test prototype. While it’s unlikely that the RS200 will receive these updates, the refreshed NS200 may forego an LED headlamp, with prices expected to see a slight increase from the current Rs. 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom). Mechanical changes are unlikely, with the trusted 199 cc liquid-cooled engine expected to remain unchanged.
