XUV300 Facelift: Mahindra’s Upcoming Major Launch
Mahindra is poised to introduce the XUV300 facelift in the near future in India, featuring substantial upgrades both internally and externally. With the compact SUV market becoming fiercely competitive, Mahindra aims to maintain its edge by revitalizing its popular model.
Five years since its introduction, the XUV300 is due for its most significant update yet. Built on the X100 platform shared with the SsangYong Tivoli and the extended XUV400 electric SUV, the upcoming model promises a refreshed appearance and enhanced features.
Taking cues from Mahindra’s forthcoming BE SUV lineup, the 2024 XUV300 is anticipated to showcase a more distinct front end, including redesigned LED Daytime Running Lights, grille, headlamps, and bumper. Spy shots suggest revisions to the tailgate, tail lamps, rear bumper, and alloy wheels.
Internally, the cabin is set for a substantial revamp with premium materials, a revised dashboard, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Safety features will be abundant, positioning the XUV300 as one of the safest options in its category.
Mechanically, the XUV300 will maintain its current engine lineup, encompassing the 1.2L turbo petrol, 1.2L DI turbo petrol, and 1.5L diesel engines. Additionally, a new six-speed torque converter automatic transmission sourced from Aisin will debut for the DI petrol variant.
Through these enhancements, Mahindra aims to provide consumers with a more contemporary and competitive compact SUV, setting new benchmarks in the segment.
