Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh), January 31 (PTI) A group of 350 Muslim devotees completed a six-day foot journey from Lucknow to Ayodhya, where they paid homage at the Ram temple.
Organized by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), an RSS-supported Muslim organization, the expedition commenced from Lucknow on January 25, as reported by Shahid Saeed, the media in-charge of MRM.
Braving the harsh weather, the group, chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram,’ arrived in Ayodhya on Tuesday, covering approximately 150 km on foot, as disclosed by Saeed.
He mentioned that the devotees took breaks every 25 kilometers for nightly rest, resuming their pilgrimage each morning.
After six days of travel, the weary devotees, their shoes worn out, reached Ayodhya and offered their respects to the recently consecrated Ram Lalla idol, Saeed conveyed.
He stated, “The devotees regarded this dignified darshan of Imam-e-Hind Ram as an enduring and cherished memory,” highlighting that this act by the Muslim worshippers symbolized a message of unity, integrity, sovereignty, and harmony.
Following the darshan, MRM convener Raja Raees and provincial coordinator Sher Ali Khan, who led the group, asserted that Lord Ram is the forefather of all.
Raees and Khan underscored the prioritization of love for country and humanity over religious, caste, and creed differences. They emphasized that no religion advocates criticism, mockery, or disdain for others.
