Electric Vehicle Subsidy Policy in Chhattisgarh

The Chhattisgarh government is constructing more charging stations throughout the state in response to the increase in the number of electric vehicles on the road. The government of Chhattisgarh also provides substantial subsidies for the production of electric vehicles as well as for the installation of EV chargers and swappable battery stations around the state. Owners are given financial incentives for both purchasing and scrapping vehicles.

There is a rapid shift in the transportation sector from ICVs to electric vehicles. The desire to improve renewable energy sources while lowering the nation’s high oil import costs and bad air quality is what spurred the adjustment. The state government may decide to prolong the subsidy policy’s validity beyond five years to a maximum of ten.
